Project Inspire – Helping Nepalese Orphans

“I have a dream. Educate the illiterate, feed the hungry ones, cure the sick. This is my way of life and the lesson of humanity.”
Lama Sangye Dorge, Chairman Ningma Foundation.

In one of the poorest countries in the world, where almost 50% of the population live below the poverty line, where orphaned or abandoned children sleep on the streets, eking out a precarious existence by scavenging because desperate parents are not able to provide their children with the basic necessities of life. The future for many is very bleak BUT YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. You can give hope to the under privileged and orphaned children of Nepal and help them to a brighter future.

When our team arrived the orphanage was about to radically reduce it’s size due to their inability to pay the rent. We were able to pull them back from the edge and allow both the housing and schooling to continue. The team was not just a group of outsiders looking in, but a dedicated group tightly involved in setting up the orphanage in the first place. We were able to check the books and ensure best use of funds and materials (food, clothing, books, etc) provided. We can honestly say that this is a 100% charity (ie no admin costs!). Every cent goes to helping the lives of children.

To make a difference (and even $5 will do that!), please go to Inspire the World (now accepting donations!)
